Erson J Bufford

Mr. Erson J. Bufford, 92 of 1599 Delhi Rd. died Thursday, July 21st at Wills Memorial Hospital, Washington, Ga. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 24, 2011 at 4:00pm from the Tabor Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Bufford, a lifelong resident of Wilkes County, was the son of the late Joseph and Fannie Mae House Bufford. He was a farmer and formerly employed at the Royal Manufacturing Company and at the Almar Manufacturing Company. An Army veteran, Mr. Bufford was the oldest member of Tabor Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mildred Huff Bufford; a son, David E. Bufford, Tignall; a daughter, Carol B. Dunn, Washington; a stepson, Tommy Darricott, Elberton; a stepdaughter, Mary Ann Brown, Franklin, NC; six grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the Beggs Funeral Home, Lincolnton on Saturday, July 23, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00pm
