Elmer Lee "Pete' Miller

Elmer Lee "Pete" Miller, 83, entered into Heavenly rest on October 4, 2018 at his home in Thomson with his wife and children by his side.

The son of Claude and Trula Mae Miller, he was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on June 2, 1935.

Mr. Miller is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Betty Lou Miller, daughter Tammy Kay  Brunson and husband, Charles of Thomson, son Kris Miller and wife, Melanie of Columbus, Ohio, grandsons Billy Brunson of Atlanta and Bob Brunson and wife, Bonnie of Ila, Georgia, granddaughter Brittany Miller of Columbus, Ohio and great-grandchildren Bellamy and Bo Brunson of Ila.

Mr. Miller was preceded in death by an infant son Marcus Glen Miller.

Mr. Miller was a member of First Baptist Church in Thomson and the Men's Bible Class. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the "Go and Tell" mission of First Baptist Church of Thomson.

Visitation with the family will be held in the atrium of First Baptist Church at 10:00 am Monday, October 8 with Rev. David Lambert officiating. A celebration of life service will be held in the sanctuary at 11:00 am with interment at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens immediately following. Members of the Men's Bible Class will serve as honorary pallbearers.
