Elizabeth Ann Johnson, 89, Warrenton, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on September 5, 2022.

Elizabeth was born in Warrenton, Georgia on October 16, 1932 and lived in Warrenton all her life.   She graduated from Warren County High School, worked at Happs Brothers Garment Company, worked for a period of time with Helen Johnson at Farm Bureau Insurance, was a homemaker and loving wife to her high school sweetheart, Billy Johnson and a devoted mother to their two sons.    After her husband, Billy, died of cancer in 1993, knowing she would never be interest in another partner, she devoted even more time to her sons and nieces.  Elizabeth was Baptist by faith and a member of Millcreek Baptist Church.  She was an avid reader, enjoyed sewing, camping in years past and loved spending time with her family and friends.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Narvis Dye and Georgia Mae Neal Dye; her husband, James William "Billy" Johnson; her sisters, Dorothy Snider and Jane Harper.   Her survivors include her sons, J. Allan Johnson of Warrenton and J. Darren Johnson of Atlanta; sister, Linda Toulson; her former daughter-in-law, Joan A. Johnson Wood; her special nieces, Laurie Lynn Bland, Bobbie Crutchfield, great nephew, Ryan Bland and great niece, Katelyn Crutchfield.

A Graveside service, being officiated by Rev. Gary Hadden, will be held on Friday, September 9, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Johnson Cemetery, Warrenton, Georgia.  The family will receive friends at the graveside following the service.  Please visit www.beggsfuneralhome.net to sign the family's personal guestbook.
