Mr. Austin Elijah "Eli" Clark, 26, entered into rest on Thursday, March 13 th at the residence of his grandparents, Roy and Beth Stringfield with his family at his bedside.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 15 th at 2p.m. at Lincolnton Baptist Church with Revs. Robert Rayner and Bill Harrell officiating. Interment will follow at 4p.m. in Westover Memorial Park, Augusta. V isitation will be held on Friday evening from 7pm-9pm on Friday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Clark, was born in Augusta on October 20 th , 1987 and grew up in Lincolnton. A 2006 graduate of LCHS, Eli continued a tradition set up by his grandfather in the plumbing trade and became a member of the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local 150. Also, he was a member of the Lincolnton Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Angelia Stringfield Clark, who passed away in 1998 and his grandfather, Harold Clark in 2005.
He endeared himself to many in the community by the heroic example he displayed in facing a terminal illness and continuing to work even when sometimes he was not physically able. Through his battle with cancer which has extended many years, he showed determination in his life, marriage, and work.
He will be greatly missed by his friends and family which include:
