Dearing, GA-Mrs. Eleanor Jean Shelton, 72, entered into rest January 15, 2015 at Trinity  Hospital.
Mrs. Shelton was born in Augusta, Georgia but lived in McDuffie County most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Clarence Lewis and the late Sara Reid Lewis. Mrs. Shelton worked at Kingsley Mill for many years and retired from Wal-Mart. She was a member of Norris Chapel Holiness Church.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Shelton; daughter Nancy Shelton Clark; sister, Edith Fitzgerald; grandchildren, Niki Smith, Daphne Moss and great grandchildren, Hunter Clark and Quinn Moss. Mrs. Shelton was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Voividich.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, January 18, 2015 in the chapel of Beggs Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2:30 p.m., Sunday prior to the service at the funeral home.
