Elaine Abbott

Mrs. Elaine Pilgrim Abbott, 76, of  Edgar Circle, Thomson, Georgia entered into rest June 7, 2013.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 10, 2013 at Washington Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Reginald Blakewood, Rev. Rodney Peavy and Rev. Sonny Peevy officiating. Interment will follow in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Abbott was a native of McDuffie County, Georgia and was the daughter of the late Gilbert Pilgrim and the late Marjorie Ryals Bielen. She was retired from Regions Bank Bookkeeping Department. Mrs. Abbott was a member of Washington Heights Baptist Church.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 59 years, William E. "Bill" Abbott; son, Mike Abbott and wife, Barbara all of Thomson, GA; daughter, Linda Barnett and husband, Mickey of  Newberry, SC; brothers, Phil Pilgrim, Randy Pilgrim, Larron Pilgrim; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and sister-in-law, Judy Pilgrim. Mrs. Abbott was preceded in death by a brother, C. H. Pilgrim and a daughter, Peggy Abbott.

The family will receive friends from  6 until 8 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
