Mr. Edward Owen, Jr.  of Kennedy Dr., Waynesboro entered into rest on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center, Augusta.

Mr. Owen, son of the late Edward and Lena Virginia Elmore Owen, was a native of Mobile, AL. and was raised by his grandparents, Joe and Mary Elmore.  Following his service in the US Marines during Vietnam,  he worked for Augusta Police Dept. for 8 years and few years with Richmond County Sheriff's Dept. Later, he operated  his own business for more than 10 years. His brother, Bobby Owen, preceded him in death.

Survivors: Son, Jason Owen of Grovetown; Brother and Sisters, Donald, Margaret and Betty of Mississippi and Shelia of  Beaufort, SC

Graveside services will be held Monday, April 17, 2017 at 6pm at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery, Augusta. The family receive friends from 5pm until the hour of the service at the graveside.
