Life Legacy
Born and raised in East Norwich, Long Island, NY. He served two years in the United States Air Force before returning home to take over his dad's plumbing & heating business in the 70's. He ran the business until he retired in 1994. His hobbies and interests were water skiing, skin diving, clam bakes, boating, and golf. He was active in his community through the volunteer fire department and Kiwanis International. As the family grew, Ed developed an interest in carpentry and renovation. He added a large addition to our New York home to accommodate the children. When he retired we purchased and renovated a large Victorian home (circa1900) in upstate NY. It became the summer house and afforded us many opportunities to gather the children and grandchildren. He was very proud of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We moved to Savannah Lakes in 2000 where Ed again renovated the home, extending the back deck. Ed loved gardening, birds, carpentry, and did plumbing only as a necessity.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 53 years, Elizabeth "Betty" Hauser
