Thomson, GA- Mr. Edward "Ed" Lee Grant, 81, of Grier Circle entered into rest November 3, 2012.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 5, 2012 at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens with Rev. David Lambert officiating.
Mr. Grant grew up in Crawfordville, Georgia and was the son of the late James Oscar Grant and the late Thelma Worthen Grant. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Grant lived in Thomson most of his life and retired from Bellsouth with over 30 years of service. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and the First Baptist Church, Thomson.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 59 years, Jean Moore Grant; sons, Cary Grant, Eddie Grant and wife, Pat all of Camden, SC, Tim Grant and wife, Eileen of Woodstock, GA; grandchildren, Travis Grant, Hunter Grant, Madison Grant and Faith Grant; brother, Oscar Grant of Fayetteville, NC and two nieces and two nephews.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Youth Choir, P. O. Box 1205, Thomson, GA 30824.
The family will receive friends from until 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, November 4, 2012 at the funeral home.
