Edward "Raymond" Adams, 77, of Dearing, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on June 13, 2023.

Raymond was born in Augusta, Georgia on May 23, 1946, was a lifelong resident of Dearing, Georgia, a 1964 graduate of Thomson High School and earned an Associate's Degree from Abraham Baldwin College.  He worked for Culpepper Lumber Company-Ace Hardware for 43 years assisting and advising customers.  Raymond was Baptist by faith and an active member of Dearing Baptist and sang in the choir.  He owned and operated Lakeview Dairy Farm for many years, was a volunteer firefighter, charter member of Happy Valley Fire Department and was an asset to the community.  Raymond also had a passion for farming at an early age and spending time with his family and friends.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Ray Adams and Elizabeth Whitaker Adams.  His survivors include his wife of 54, years, Reba Denham Adams; his sons, Ben Adams (Kim) and James Adams (Daniella); his daughter, Kendell Ware (Ben); his brothers, Richard Adams (Elizabeth) and Donald Adams (Laura); his sister, Jane Richards (Jon); four grandchildren, Blake Ware, Avery Ware, Callie Mae Adams and Raylan Adams and other extended family.

A Gathering of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., at Beggs Funeral Home, 799 Cobbham Road, Thomson, Georgia
