Edna was a 1961 graduate of Lincolnton High School and later became the bookkeeper for Ashmore Logging Company, where she worked for over 25 years.  After her time at Ashmore Logging Company, Edna transitioned into a retail sales clerk role at Jewelers Bench, where she continued to serve her community until the store's closing. Edna's work ethic was not confined to her professional life. She took immense pride in her role as a grandmother and spent seven years lovingly helping to raise and care for her great-grandchild, Sierra Reed. Her ability to balance her  responsibilities with her dedication to her family was a testament to her selfless nature and her unwavering commitment to those she loved. Edna's interests included reading, walking, and tending to her yard. She was a lover of nature and found peace and tranquility in the beauty of the outdoors. Her spirited personality radiated in her love for life, and she had an innate ability to bring joy to those around her.  She also loved her church and was proud to be a dedicated member there along with several generations of her family before her. Predeceased by her parents, her brother David Partridge, her sister Betty Brown, and her granddaughter Nicole Ashmore, Edna's memory will be cherished by her surviving family. She is survived by her children, Beth Dawkins (Steven), Steve Ashmore (Renee), and Michelle Ashmore. Her grandchildren, Andrew Ashmore, Katelyn Dawkins Norman (Casey), Justin Ashmore, Victoria Reed, and Olivia Agner, will remember their grandmother for her endless love and unwavering support. Edna was also blessed with nine great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy. She is also survived by her special friend and caregiver, Elizabeth Lee and the father of her children J.C. Ashmore. Edna's life was marked by her devotion to her family, her dedication to her work, and her love for her community. She was a woman of great passion who lived her life with a selfless spirit. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. As we bid farewell to Edna Virginia Partridge Ashmore, we celebrate a life well-lived and a woman well-loved. She leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and dedication that will continue to inspire and guide those who were fortunate enough to know her.
