Lilburn, Georgia-Mr. Earl Wallace Marshall, 100, entered into rest November 10, 2017.

Mr. Marshall was born in Thomson, GA to the late Tom Marshall and the late Dollie Whitlock Marshall. During World War II, Mr. Marshall worked as a welder in the shipyards of Charleston, SC. His passion for baseball led him to being offered baseball contracts with several major league baseball teams. Mr. Marshall lived in Lilburn, GA since 1975 and retired from Armco Metal Fabrication with over 40 years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Lilburn. Mr. Marshall was predeceased by his wife, Thressa McGahee Marshall. Survivors include his daughter, Rosemary M. Robinson of Heathrow, FL; sister, Vivian Brooks of Thomson, GA; grandchildren, Debbie MacLean, Vickie Page and Lisa Burket and 7 great grandchildren David, Nicole, Laura, Shannon, Kristen, Connor, and Austin, and several nieces and nephews around Georgia.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 13, 2017 in the chapel of Beggs Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Bowers officiating. Interment will follow at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center (http://www.nghs.com/hospice)

The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
