Durwood Hill, Jr.

Durwood Hill, Jr. Thomson, GA- Durwood Hill, Jr., 59, of Ginger Hill Rd. entered into rest January 31, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, February 2, 2014 at the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens. Mr. Hill was born in Greensboro, GA and lived in McDuffie County most of his life. He was retired as a truck driver and also worked as a locksmith with Dixie Lock and Safe. Mr. Hill enjoyed fishing, Nascar Racing and working on his truck. Survivors include his daughter, Tiffany Burke of Augusta; mother, Barbara Hill; brother, Willie Hill; sister, Barbara Withrow (Stan) all of Thomson. Mr. Hill was preceded in death by his father, Durwood Hill, Sr. and a brother, Kenny Hill. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. The family will receive friends  from 1 until 3 p.m, Sunday at the funeral home. Beggs Funeral  Home, Thomson, GA is in charge of arrangements.
