Mr. Dudley Bryant, 58, entered into rest on December 18, 2011 at McDuffie Regional Medical Center in Thomson. He was the son of the late James P.Bryant, Sr. and Marzie Ingram Bryant. Mr. Bryant, who was retired, was a former employee of the City of Lincolnton, Federal Paper Board, and McCormick Correctional Institute. He held post-secondary degrees from Truett-McConnell College, Augusta State University, and Southern Bible Seminary. He was a member of Anthonys Chapel United Methodist Church and was active in church music ministry. Funeral Services will be at 2:00pm on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 in Hephzibah Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Bryant is survived by his wife, Susan Cox Bryant; two sons, Patrick Bryant of Lincolnton, and Eugene Bryant and wife Lauren of Decatur, GA; a daughter, Alicia Bryant of Lincolnton; brothers: Jimmy Bryant, Billy Bryant, and Edmond Bryant all of Lincolnton, and Charles Bryant of Thomson; sisters: Irene Bryant and Juanita Brown of Lincolnton; and a granddaughter, Elise Bryant of Decatur.
