Douglas Payton

MSGT. Douglas E. Payton, US Air Force Retired, 69 of Hwy 220E died Monday, November 7, 2016.

Mr. Payton, a native of New Albany, Indiana was retired from the US Air Force. Following retirement, he moved to Lincoln County and had worked at the PX at Ft Gordon. In years past, Mr. Payton, a Southern Baptist,  had helped build numerous churches in Asia. He enjoyed reading, watching movies and listening to country music. His wife, Tomiko Payton and son, Chad Payton, preceded him in death.

Sister: Brenda P. Heller and husband, James of Cincinatti, Ohio

Sister-in-law: Fumiko Jensen

Nephew: Douglas Rice

Niece: Melanie Rice

Great- niece and nephew: Megan Rice and Christopher Rice

Great- great niece: Lillian Jewel Blair

A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 12 ^th from 5pm until 6pm at the funeral home. Following visitation, the body will be cremated, with burial at a later date in the Lincolnton City Cemetery.
