DOT TAPPAN HOMEMAKER DOROTHY "DOT" TAPPAN 92 of Thomson, GA, formerly of Athens,GA entered into rest March 3, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM, Friday, March 07, 2008 at the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Kerr officiating. Graveside services will follow at 3:30PM Oconee Hill Cemetery in Athens, GA.. Mrs. Tappan was born in Clarke County, GA and was the daughter of the late Samuel Stone and the late Lenora Shy Stone. She was very active in PTO, the Home Demonstration Club and a volunteer for the Athens-Clarke County 4-H Club for many years. Mrs. Tappan was also a founding member of the Interstate Trailer Club and a member of First United Methodist Church in Athens. Survivors include: Daughter: Dot Cofer and her husband Wendy of Thomson,GA Grandchildren: Rhonwyn Fulcher-N.Augusta, SC, David Fulcher- Athens, GA. Katie Henthorn and her husband Wade-Harlem, GA Hal Keller and his wife Elaine-Harlem, GA Great-grandchildren: Scottie Keller and Anna Keller Friends may call at the residence of Dot and Wendy Cofer 149 Pinedale Dr. Thomson or from 7 until 9 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
