Dorothy L. " Dot" Dunaway Assistant Director Thomson, Ga. - Mrs. Dorothy L. Dunaway, 63 of Lincolnton Hwy entered into rest November 12, 2009. She was the beloved wife of Joe Dunaway. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 14, 2009 at St. Paul United Methodist Church with Revs. Lori Blocker, David Jenkins and Sonny Peevy officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Jimmy Justice, Jr., Michael Ferguson, Mike Bell, Creig Reynolds, Bobby Reynolds and Chris Reynolds. Mrs. Dunaway was born in Hendersonville, NC but lived in Thomson, GA most of her life. She was a faithful and dedicated member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. Mrs. Dunaway was a retired assistant director from Schroeder's Small World. Survivors include her mother, Grace Drake and her husband, Joe Dunaway both of Thomson; Daughters, Cathy Kelley and husband Tracy of Dearing, Sandy Norton and husband Ricky of Avera; brother, Noble Drake (Irene), Warrenton; sisters, Shirley Solesbee, Boiling Springs, SC, Evelyn Parham (Ray), Campebello, SC, Judy Hall (Calvin), Grovetown, Wanda Edwards (Doug), Thomson; five grandchildren, Ashley Kelley, Amy Kelley, Will Kelley, Brittany Norton and Brad Norton; one great-grandchild, Kady Raines. Memorials may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 3235 Thomson, Hwy., Lincolnton, GA 30817. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm Friday at the funeral home.
