Thomson, GA- Mrs. Dot H. Buffington, 82, entered into rest June 28, 2014.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Second Baptist Church with Rev. Lester Jenkins and Rev. Bobby Farmer officiating. Interment will follow in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Buffington was born in Stapleton, Georgia but lived in Thomson most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Luther Hobbs and the late Hattie Ruth Harden Hobbs. Mrs. Buffington was a retired waitress from Western Sizzlin. She was a member of Second Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Charlene Huff (Randy) of Thomson; brothers, L. M. Hobbs, Jr. of Milledgeville, James Hobbs and Everett Hobbs both of Thomson. Mrs. Buffington was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Buffington, son, Wayne Buffington and sister, Evelyn Newsome.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m., Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at the funeral home.
