Doris Jane Buffington Ready, 92, Thomson, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on August 18, 2024.

She was born in Appling, Georgia on October 7, 1931, grew up in Appling, Georgia and lived most of her adult life in Thomson, Georgia. Doris is Baptist by faith and loved spending time with her Lord, her family and friends.

Doris is preceded in death by her parents, William Hubert Buffington and Sara Jane Sliester; her son, Joseph "Joey" Hallford; her brothers, Hubert Buffington, Jr. and James "Booster) Buffington and Leon Buffington and her grandchildren, Jessica Dawn Hallford.  She is survived by her son, Doug Hallford (Kim).

There will be a graveside service on Wednesday, 21, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Westview Cemetery, Thomson, Georgia with Rev.
