Doris East Norman

Mrs. Norman, daughter of the late Pleemon and Mary Barton East was a native of Walton County, but had lived in Lincolnton since the late 1940's. After operating East Beauty Shop for over 50 years, she retired in 1999. She was a charter member of Morningside Baptist Church where she served as a nursery worker and was a member of Adult II Sunday School Class. She was additionally, a charter member of the Homer Legg #535 Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and was Past Worthy Matron. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Kendall McCall and siblings, William East, Ralph East, Maggie Maxwell, Mary Crocker, and Berthalene Smith. She leaves to cherish her memory, Husband: William D. "Billy" Norman Daughters: Gay Norman Riggs, and husband, Michael of Cleveland, TN Maria Norman Gentry, and husband, Glenn of N. Augusta, SC Brothers: Raymond Doyle East, Elijay, Ga., and Sanders Roland East of Barnesville, Ga. Grandchildren: Chandler McCall, Mallory M. Ruehle, Cari Ann Gentry, Samantha Riggs, Alex Riggs and 6 Great- grandchildren
