Appling, GA-Mr. Donnie Faulk, 80, of Lakeside Drive entered into rest July 26, 2014.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Sharon Baptist Church, Appling, Georgia with Rev. Andy Collins officiating. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 p.m., at Westview Cemetery in Augusta, Georgia. Pallbearers will be: Tommy Tomlin, Charles Sharpe, David Bodie, Kevin Whitener, Doug Crawford and Lanny Bullard. Honorary pallbearers will be the Men's Sunday School Class.
Mr. Faulk was born in Augusta, Georgia and was the son of the late
Elcie Dewitt Faulk and the late Bena Green Faulk. He served in the U. S. Marines during the Korean Conflict and was retired from Big Star and Bi-Lo Food Stores. He was a member of Sharon Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Laverne Simpson Faulk; son, Michael Faulk and wife, Karla; daughter, Debbie Mundy; grandchildren, Bryan Lundy, Brad Lundy, Michael Faulk, Ansley Faulk and great grandchildren, Alyssa Lundy, Christian Lundy and Isabella Kirby.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sharon Baptist Church, 6262 Cobbham Rd., Appling, GA 30802.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
Beggs Funeral Home, Thomson, GA is in charge of arrangements.
