Donald Mirl Lemar
Donald (Don) was born on July 8th, 1930 to LeRoy and Mildred LeMar in Des Moines, Iowa. They preceded him in death along with his beloved wife Beverly, and brothers Cliff and Robert, grandson, David John LeMar, and granddaughter, Tamara Nicole. Those left to honor his memory include sons; Don LeMar, and wife, Sandy; and John LeMar; daughter, Joy Blake,and husband, Tab; Daniel L. Sharfenberg, and Mary Posey, and husband, Greg.. Many grandchildren are mourning his passing also.
Don was an avid golfer who loved to travel and restore antique furniture. He was a proud member of the Masonic lodge, the Shriners, and a veteran of the Korean War. Don was always passionate about local politics and was a former Muscatine, Iowa Mayor.
Don and Bev were drawn to the beauty of Savannah Lakes where they built their dream retirement home. They discovered that the true magnificence of the area was in the people that they would meet and love. He will be missed and fondly remembered by his many friends at Savannah Lakes, South Carolina.
