Donald Gene Ginder, 89, of Thomson, Georgia formally of Fountaintown, Indiana, entered into eternal rest on February 11, 2025.

He was born in Ingalls, Indiana on August 25, 1935, and moved to the McDuffie County area in 2005.  Donald proudly served his county in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean War and after his time of service he began his career as a self-employed operating engineer but had 40 years of service with International Union of Operating Engineers.  He enjoyed auto racing, boating, fishing and loved spending time with family and friends.

Donald was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Florence Ann Ginder; his parents, Roy William Ginder and Ethel Mildred Bush Ginder; his son-in-law, Dan Cole; his brother, Richard Ginder and his great grandchildren, Daniel Canter and Austin Canter. His survivors include his son, Donald Eric Ginder (Mary Ann); his daughters, Teresa Blackwell (Rick) and Marian Nugent (Charles); his sisters, Marilyn Cox and Madelyn Hoke; his grandchildren, Emily Blackwell, Abby Blackwell, Eric Ginder (Emily), Ryan Bixler, Brian Cole (April) and Lori Canter and his great grandchildren, Kyle Canter, Mackenzie Nugent, Brady Cole, Daniel Cole, Theo Ginder and Brooks Ginder.
