Dimple Vernice Meadows

Dimple Meadows, 91, child of God, loving mother and friend, entered into the presence of the Lord on April 17, 2017. Her family will receive friends for visitation at 1:00 pm on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Bethel Baptist Church 500 Holt Street Thomson, Georgia. A service in celebration of her life will be held at the church at 2:30. Immediately following the service, Dimple will be laid to rest at Bellevue Memorial Gardens, with her grandsons Michael Hintz, Jerry Hintz, Charlie Wright IV, Robert JW Meadows, and great grandson Blake Edenfield serving as pallbearers. Her family also recognizes her grandson Clifford Hintz as an honorary pallbearer. Dimple, known as "Granny" to many, embraced each person she met loving them as if they were her own children. Her smile and laughter drew people to her, and her famous chocolate and biscuits kept her table full with friends and family. Granny was always able to see the good in each person and encouraged them to develop their gifts for the Lord. Throughout the years she provided counsel and wisdom to many and prayed without ceasing for countless families. As an extraordinary example of Christ's love for all, she will be deeply missed on earth, but those who knew her rejoice in the promise of her eternity with Christ. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Wesley Meadows, her parents, siblings, and grandson Clifford Hintz. She is survived by her adoring children Vernice Hintz of Harlem GA, Faye Widener of Harlem GA, Glenn Meadows (Tammie) of Evans GA, Gina Wright (Charlie) of Jackson SC, and Edie Casteel (Johnny) of Thomson GA. She is also survived by a multitude of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. In honor of Granny's legacy and desire to share Christ's love with the world, the family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Bethel Baptist Church C/O Unsheltered International PO Box 717 Thomson, GA 30824. With love, grace, and kindness she forever impacted the lives of those she met. "Her children arise up, and call her blessed" Proverbs 31:28 Beggs Funeral Home, Thomson, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
