Dessie Lee Griffith Seamstress Jonesboro, GA. - Mrs. Dessie Lee Newsome Griffith, 81 of Thornton Blvd. died July 28, 2011. Mrs. Griffith was born in Warren County, GA and was the daughter of the late Leroy Newsome and the late Maggie Dye Newsome Dunaway. She was retired as a seamstress from Unifirst Corporation. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 31, 2011 from the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Beverly Casstevens officiating. Burial will follow in Johnson Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, W.T. Griffith, Sr.; daughter, Angela Lee Frazee and son-in-law Don Frazee all of Jonesboro, GA; brothers, Leon Newsome of Thomson, Melvin Newsome of Vidalia; grandchildren, Tabitha Frazee and Donnie Frazee; great grandchild, Aiden Frazee and five other grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Griffith was preceded in death by her sons, John David Griffith and W.T. Griffith, Jr. and brother, Lewis Newsome.
