Mr. Albert Derwood Walton, 75, husband of Mrs. Linda Kelley Walton for over 55 years, entered rest Saturday, December 5, 2015.

The family will receive friends from 6pm until 9pm  Monday evening at Beggs Funeral Home, Lincolnton

Graveside funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. , Tuesday, December 8 , at Goshen Baptist Church in Lincoln County.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Walton is survived by his daughter, Belinda Walton White of Lincolnton; his son, Johnny A. Walton and companion, Reesie Poss of Aiken SC, and grandsons, Ron Walton White of Lincolnton and Bruce A. Freeland Jr. and wife, Andrea of Carnesville GA.

Other survivors include mother, Ruby N. Walton, sisters, Marie Poss and Lena Baston, and brother, Larry Walton.

Mr. Walton, an avid hunter and fisherman, served with the 319th Transportation Company in Vietnam.  He was employed with Knox-Rivers Construction for 30 years and with Georgia DOT for 11 years.

Pallbearers will be Bruce A. Freeland Jr., Ron Walton White, Bruce A. Freeland Sr., Tal Poss, Lanny Hightower, Mike Smalley, Bobby Aycock, and David Bentley.
