Dennis "Marty" Allen, Jr. IBEW Local #1579 Thomson, GA- Dennis "Marty Allen, Jr., 50, of Long Hill Drive entered into rest February 1, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Todd officiating. Interment will follow in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers and Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the IBEW Local #1579. Mr. Allen was born in Savannah, Georgia and lived in the CSRA most of his life. He was an electrician and worked with the IBEW local # 1579 for the past 25 years. Mr. Allen was a Baptist by faith. Survivors include his beloved wife, Karen Allen; son, Jason Allen (Tara); daughter, Crystal Allen; parents, Dennis Allen, Sr. and Fay Allen; brother, Mark Allen (Sherry); sister, Michelle Jones (John) and grandchild, Kayla Allen. The family will receive friends from  6 until 8 p.m., Monday, February 3, 2014 at the funeral home. Beggs Funeral  Home, Thomson, GA is in charge of arrangements
