Mrs. Denise Anette Smithson, 62, Thomson, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on February 26, 2022.
Denise Anette Smithson was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania on July 27, 1959 and grew up in West Virginia. She was a Christian by faith and member of Union Baptist Church. Denise graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelors of Arts in Theatre and a Master degree in Special Education from Marshall University. Denise was teacher by profession for many years. She was a life long West Virginia Mountaineer fan. She also loved flowers, gardening and especially sunbathing and spending time with her family.
Denise is preceded in death by her father, William Albright Sr. and her brother, William Albright. Her surviving family members include her husband of 25 years, Bob Smithson; her son, Perry Smithson; her stepsons, Aaron Smithson and Brian Smithson; her mother, Ruth Riner and her two brothers David Albright and Wayne Albright.
Mrs. Smithson's visitation will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Beggs Funeral Home, and her Memorial Service, being officiated by Dr. Lee Walton will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel, 799 Cobbham Road, Thomson, GA, 30824. The family will be observing social distancing, and masks are requested and appreciated. Due to the current national health concern, the family would appreciate phone calls, cards, texts, and e-mails.
