Dena Lamble Gerkitz Augusta, GA - Ms. Dena Lamble Gerkitz, 67, formerly of Thomson, GA entered into rest January 20, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 25, 2013 in the Chapel of Beggs Funeral Home with Father Bill Williams as celebrant. Ms. Gerkitz was born in Evansville, Indiana and was the daughter of the late Celestine Lamble and the late Margaret Lamble. She was retired from WRDW News Station. Ms. Gerkitz was also a member of Queen of Angels Catholic Church. Survivors include her companion, Aaron F. Denton; sons, James Schaefer and wife, Crystal, Kevin Schaefer and wife, Julie, Greg Schaefer, Kelly Schaefer and wife, Michelle, Edward Gerkitz; daughter, Theresa Gerkitz; brothers, Joe Lamble, Tony Lamble, Andy Lamble; sister, Sue Hancock and ten grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her great granddaughter, Harlow Schaefer. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Thursday with a rosary to follow. Beggs Funeral Home, 799 Cobbham Rd., Thomson, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
