Mrs. Delores Griffin Lindsey, 99 of Amity Woodlawn Rd., Lincolnton entered into rest on Saturday, February 25, 2023 with her loving family at her side. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 9th, 2023 at 6:30pm at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Steven Lindsey, 2776 Amity Woodlawn Rd. Lincolnton, Ga. The family is receiving friends at the Lindsey home.

Mrs. Lindsey, daughter of the late Milton L. and Irene Columbia Griffin was born in Baltimore, Maryland on July 8, 1923. During WWII, she met Ellis Lindsey while he was stationed in California and were married soon after. When she was younger, she was employed by Westinghouse, taught Sunday School for 30 years at Fishing Creek Baptist Church and later attended Greenwood Baptist Church. She loved to Waltz and also taught ballroom dancing for many years. Other interests included collecting and an appreciation for antique furniture. Until recently, she was still attending auctions on Saturday nights and her driver's license was still current. She often stated that God had been so good to her.

She is survived by her son, Steven Lindsey and wife Bridget; daughter, Cynthia L. Goldman and sister, Geraldine Jones of Kennesaw, Ga; 5 grandchildren, 13 great- grandchildren and 2 great- great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Lindsey, and her sister, Vivian Griffin.
