Delores Gibbs Jones

Mrs. Delores "Lois" Gibbs Jones, 82 of Melody Lane entered into rest on Monday, Dec. 2nd at her residence.

Mrs. Jones, daughter of the late Wylie B. and Bessie Clark Gibbs, was   a lifelong resident of the Augusta area,. She retired from Sibley Mill and was a member of Barton Chapel United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Gary Jones, Jr. and siblings, W.B. Gibbs, Jr., Aubrey "Jeep" Gibbs, and  Mary Jane Hubbard.

Survivors:

Daughter: Shirley Serrano and husband, Rod of Augusta

Son: Alan Jones, Augusta

Brother: Billy Gibbs, Lincolnton

Sister: Sadie Powell, Augusta

Grandchildren: Brian Jones, Amy Tomes, and husband, Joseph, Anna Richardson and husband, Jayce, Michael Serrano

11 Great- grandchildren

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 5th at 2 o'clock p.m. in the Bellevue Memorial Gardens Chapel with interment immediately following.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1 o'clock p.m. until the hour of the service in the chapel.
