Debra Lynne Provost

Debra Lynne Turner Provost, a cherished mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home in Washington, Ga., on January 3, 2024, at the age of 65.

Debra, was born on July 19, 1958, in Jackson, MS, to the late James and Betty Jo Young Turner. She grew up in Brandon, MS and pursued her education with vigor, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Management that would later serve as the foundation for her successful career. Debra's professional life was marked by dedication and excellence; she retired after 30 years of service at the Savannah River Plant, where she made significant contributions as a quality assurance administration/ fire protection specialist. Debra's passions extended beyond her professional achievements. She was a woman of many talents and hobbies, with a particular love for quilting, sewing, gardening, and canning jellies. Her hands were rarely still, as she found joy in creating beautiful things and sharing them with others.

Above all, Debra adored her grandbabies. She took immense pleasure in spending time with them and watching them grow. Her grandchildren, Rynlee Mae Provost and Ember Rose Provost, were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment she had with them. Debra is survived by her loving son, James Provost and wife Destini; her sister, Teri Sorey and husband Jeff of Bailey, MS.; her beloved grandchildren and nieces and nephews Dana, Blake and Andy.

A private celebration of life will be held to honor Debra's memory.
