Mrs. Deborah Powers McTier, 80, of Thomson, GA entered into eternal rest on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at Piedmont Augusta Hospital.
Mrs. Mctier was born in Union Point, Georgia at home, but lived most of her life in McDuffie County. She was the daughter of Foster Powers and Ralphine Lunceford Powers. Deborah retired from Chardan Manufacturing, Thomson, Georgia and was a member of Second Baptist Church, Thomson, Georgia. She enjoyed serving in her Church and loved spending time with her family and friends and will be dearly missed by all. Deborah enjoyed crocheting and reading and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. Mrs. McTier was predeceased by her husband, Max Howard McTier; her son, Mike McTier; her parents; her daughters, Sherry McTier and Luann Levesque and aunts and uncles.
Survivors include her son, Tim McTier (Sherry); her daughter-in-law, Tabitha McTier; her grandchildren, Tim McTier, Jr. (Jennifer), Cory McTier (Amber), Kenan Levesque, Katelyn Thompson (Steven), Kendall Levesque and Kasey McTier; four great-grandchildren; her aunts, Annette Thigpen and Helen Phillips; and numerous other relatives and loved ones.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 24, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Beggs Funeral Home with her Celebration of Life Service to follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Prater officiating. Interment will follow in Reedy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
