Mr. David William "Dave" Walter, III, 64 of Lincolnton, died Sat., July 14th at VA Hospital, Augusta.
Funeral services will held on Wed., July 18th at 11 a.m. at Martin's Crossroads Congregational Holiness Church. Interment will follow in Lincolnton City Cemetery with military honors. The body wil lie in state one hour prior to the service.
A wake will be held on Tuesday evening from 6:30p.m. to 8:30p.m. at the residence of Cynthia Hall, 410 Halifax Dr., Martinez, Ga.
Mr. Walter, son of the late David W. and Peggy Hienbaugh Walter, Jr. was a native of Pittsburg, PA. He was U.S. Army veteran and had retired from Lowes in commercial sales. He had lived in N. Augusta, SC before moving to Lincoln County in 2000 and had attended Martin's Crossroads Congregational Holiness Church. Also, he was a member of VFW, DAV, American Legion #194, and NRA.
