Dearing, GA - Mr. David William Hitt, 60, of Anne Drive entered into rest July 5, 2012.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 9, 2012 at the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Geoff Gleason officiating. Interment will follow in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Hitt was a native of Augusta, Georgia and lived in Dearing for the past 22 years. He worked as an EMT with University and Triple AAA Ambulance Services and retired as the Chief of Ambulance from Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Susan D. Hitt of Dearing; daughter, Amy Hitt; son, David "D.J." Hitt, Jr. both of Thomson; parents, Thomas and Ruth Hitt; sister, Beverly H. Freeman, all of Augusta; brothers, Wayne Hitt of Grovetown, Bruce Hitt of Hephzibah; grandson, Michael Hitt and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Beggs Funeral Home, Thomson, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
