Daphne Marie Pullum Bales, 81, Thomson, Georgia, entered into rest on March 6, 2022.

Daphne was born in Gibson, Georgia on December 4, 1940, grew up in Glascock County and Warren County, Georgia but has lived most of her life in Thomson, Georgia.  She was Christian by faith and a member of Oasis Church.  She especially loved her family and spent her life tending to her family.

Daphne was preceded in death by her parents William D. Pullum, Sr. and Connie Bell Ryder Pullum; her husband, Edward Bales; her brothers, Rufus Pullum, Joe Pullum, Don Pullum, Wayne Pullum and Gene Pullum; her sisters, Diane Tudor Peck, Jean Pullum and Doris Chalker; her granddaughter, Ashley Bales Reed; and great grandchildren, Jasmine Phillips, Michael Dingus, III and Summer Grace Matherly.  She is survived by her children, James "J.J." Craft (Mary Beth), Deborah Young, Cindy Luke (Rob) and Julie Bohler (Danny); 13 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Beggs Funeral Home, 799 Cobbham Rd., Thomson, Georgia.  Her Funeral Service will follow the visitation in Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Lee Roberts officiating, and the interment at Westview Cemetery following the service.  Pallbearers for the service are Eddie Graham, Eric Craft, James Noggle, Rob Gay, Eddie Graham, Jr. and Tylor Matherly.
