Aiken, SC- Mrs. Daphne DeBeaugrine, 79, entered into rest January 6, 2016.

Daphne grew up in McDuffie County, GA and was the daughter of the late Edwin Erwin Dent and Sarah Corbin Dent. She lived in Columbia, SC for many years and was retired from the U. S. Postal Service. She was a Baptist by faith.

Her work on earth is done. She was happily surrounded by her children and grandchildren when her Lord called and she rose to heaven to join him. She has reunited with family and friends in this wonderful place where she will surely be praising God, socializing, singing, dancing, gardening and reading until her heart's content. Love and laughter are guaranteed.

Daphne was a beloved wife, mother, sister and friend. She dearly loved her husband of 58 years. Being with family was her greatest joy. She was a wonderful person who was so giving of herself and always catered to others needs. She was sassy and had a great smile. We will always remember her deep love for family and friends. She came from humble beginnings and worked very hard all her life, up until the very end. She made a difference in the lives of many. Please join us as we celebrate the life of this amazing woman.

Survivors include her husband, Robert L. DeBeaugrine; sons, Joseph Robert DeBeaugrine (Angie), Eric Lewis DeBeaugrine; daughter, Kim Warner (Freddy); brother, Ronnie Dent; sisters, Mae Delle Milligan, Polly Dent, Sandra Swain and Ann Darby; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. DeBeaugrine was predeceased by a brother, Shelton Dent and sisters, Barbara Adams, Betty Thrift and Derrell Agnes Dent.

Funeral services will be held at 12 o'clock noon, Monday, January 11, 2016 in the chapel of Beggs Funeral Home with Rev. Brad Whitt officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery.

It is the family's request that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1899 Central Ave., Augusta, GA 30904-5739.

The family will receive friends from 11 until 12 noon at the funeral home prior to the service.
