Daniel "Danny" Rudolph Pilgrim, 74, Thomson, GA entered into eternal rest on December 26, 2022.

Danny was a lifelong resident of McDuffie County, Georgia and the oldest child of the late Clarence Wesley Pilgrim, Jr. and the late Marcella Nauert Pilgrim.  Danny graduated from Thomson High School 1968, then served two years in the U.S. Army during Vietnam.  He owned and operated Pilgrim & Son's Garage for over 50 years.  Danny enjoyed riding motorcycles, going to bike week, going to the mountains, doing yardwork, appreciated old cars and always had an ongoing project.  He loved his family and friends and his greatest passion was his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Buddy Pilgrim and Kenny Pilgrim; his brother-in-law, James "Jim" Smith and his grandson, Nick Reese.  His survivors include his devoted wife, Rose Pilgrim, his son, Allen Pilgrim (Tammy); Ryan Pilgrim (Brittany) and Daniel Pilgrim (Mercedes); his daughters, Lisa Brown (Michael), Dana Smith (Michael), Amber Judkins (Stephen); his brothers, Jim Pilgrim (Ann) and Ronnie Pilgrim (Susan); his sisters, Vianna Mathis (Claude), Anita Reese (Don), Carolyn Powers (Poogie), Angela Hammond (Lee), Marsha Smith and Melinda Bedgood (Powell); his sisters-in-law, Wanda Pilgrim and Tammie Pilgrim; his 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

A visitation service will be held at Beggs Funeral Home, 799 Cobbham Road, Thomson, Georgia on Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  His funeral service will be held on Friday, December 30, 2022, at Fort Creek Baptist Church, 1497 Fort Creek Road, Dearing, Georgia at 1:00 p.m.  The family requests that everyone wear bright colors to his service.  The interment will follow at Westview Cemetery, Thomson.   Please visit www.beggsfuneralhome.net to sign the family's personal guestbook.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that unwrapped toys with name and address tags in his memory be donated to Augusta Oncology and the Doctors' Hospital Burn Unit.
