Delma Neal Newman

Thomson, GA- Mr. Delma Neal Newman, 70, entered into rest May 24, 2017.

Mr. Newman was born in Thomson, Georgia to the late Albert Newman and Sarah Newman.  He was a lifelong resident of McDuffie County and a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church.  Mr. Newman was a retired electrical contractor, a county inspector for McDuffie Planning and Zoning, and worked at Culpepper Lumber Company. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his beloved wife, Rosanna Gunn Newman.

Survivors include his son, Brian Newman; daughter Nicole Newman Powell; mother, Sarah Newman; sister, Barbara Newman; and five grandchildren, Joseph Powell, Mandalin Newman, Kaleb Newman, Haley Grace Newman, and James (J.C. ) Clayton.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, May 28, 2017 in the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Butch Baston officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.
