Crawford O. Asbell, Sr.

Mr. Crawford O. Asbell, Sr., 89 of Shoreline Drive died Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Heritage Health Care, Washington, GA.

Mr. Asbell was a native of Aiken County, SC but had lived here since about 1985.  He was a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology, a veteran having honorably served in the US Army during World War II, and of the Methodist faith.  He had retired as a manager in the textile industry. Mr. Asbell was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Georgousis Asbell.

Survivors include two sons, Crawford O. Asbell, Jr. of Lincolnton and James G. Asbell of Aiken, SC; two brothers, Charles Asbell of Graniteville, SC and Ronald Asbell of Roseville, CA; along with three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

In keeping with his wishes, no memorial services are planned.  Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the charity of ones choice.
