Constance "Connie" (Connor) Hill

Mrs. Constance Connor Hill, 86, Dearing, Georgia, entered into eternal rest at her home surrounded by her loving family on July 02, 2022.

Connie was born in Appling, Georgia on July 29, 1935, to the late Luther Connor and the late Cora Myers Connor. She was a retired customer service representative for Southern Bell. After retiring, Connie worked as a records supervisor for the Columbia County Sheriff's Office and for a short time, she also ran her own restaurant, Country Crossing in Dearing. She loved cooking, gardening, bird watching and fishing. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hill is preceded in death by her husband, William Lynn Hill; her brothers, TJ Connor, Luther Connor and Ned Connor; and her sisters, Nan Brassell, Ann Murphy, Lee Driver and Jonnie Murphy. Her survivors include her daughter, Dr. Susan Land(Parker); her grandchildren, Connor Land and Aaron Land; her brother, George Connor; her sister, Gloria Crosby; and many nieces and nephews.

Her Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 05, 2022, from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. at  Beggs Funeral Home, 799 Cobbham Rd., Thomson, Georgia. Funeral Service, being officiated by Dr. Joe Wills and The Honorable Britt Hammond, will follow at 4:00 p.m. in the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Dearing City Cemetery.  Pallbearers for the service will be Tim Brassell, Tanner Brassell, Richard Barden, Richard Barden Jr., Seth Mason and Stacy Jones.
