Clarinda Yakima Hogan Jackson, lovingly known by her family and friends as a loving, gentle, and friendly woman, passed away on May 23, 2026, in Augusta, Georgia. She was born on February 15, 1975, in Atlanta, Georgia, and lived a life marked by kindness, devotion, and quiet strength.
Clarinda was raised in Lincolnton, where she learned the values of family, faith, and hard work that would guide her throughout her life. She was a 1994 graduate of Lincoln County High School and later continued her education at Augusta Tech, where she trained as a surgical tech. Her education and determination reflected her commitment to serving others and building a meaningful life for herself and her loved ones. Clarinda served her employer, Amazon, with great skill and dedication.
She was a member of St. Luke Baptist Church, where her presence was appreciated and her faith was an important part of her life. Clarinda carried herself with grace and warmth, and she touched the lives of many through her gentle spirit and caring nature. Those who knew her will remember her for the love she gave so freely and the calm, welcoming way she made others feel at ease. Clarinda found joy in the simple and beautiful things in life.
She enjoyed putting together puzzles, decorating her home, and crafting. These interests reflected her creativity, patience, and eye for detail. She took pride in creating a comfortable and inviting home, and she found happiness in activities that allowed her to express herself and share her talents with others.
She is survived by her sons, Dominic Dicks of Grovetown, John Jackson Jr. of Fort Campbell, Kentucky, and Cameron Jackson of Grovetown. She is also survived by her mother, Eunice Hogan Sapp; her brother, Eric Hogan and his wife, Taquana, of Martinez; her sister, Quivadis S. Sapp of Augusta; her nephews, Eric Hogan II of Martinez, Triston Hogan of Matinez, and Dontrelle Smith of Augusta; her niece, Meygan Hogan of Lincolnton; and a host of cousins, aunts, and uncles. She was preceded in death by her father, Curtis Sapp. Her family was a source of great pride and joy in her life, and she will be deeply missed by all who loved her. Clarinda Yakima Hogan Jackson will be remembered for her loving heart, her gentle manner, and her friendly spirit.
Her life was a blessing to those around her, and her memory will remain a comfort to her family and friends. Though her earthly journey has ended, the love she shared and the legacy she leaves behind will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
Her funeral will be held at New Tabernacle Baptist Church on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 11:00 AM with a visitation the Friday evening before, May 29, 2026 at Beggs Funeral Home from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
Serving as pallbearers will be her uncles and cousins.
