Clarence "Buddy" Wesley Pilgrim, III
Aiken, SC - Mr. Clarence "Buddy" Wesley Pilgrim, III, 64, entered into rest September 5, 2016 at Augusta University Medical Center.
Mr. Pilgrim was born in Louisville, KY but grew up in Thomson, GA and has lived in Aiken since 1987. He was the son of the late Clarence Wesley Pilgrim, Jr. and the late Marcella Nauert Pilgrim. Mr. Pilgrim was a brick mason and was employed with the maintenance department for the Aiken County School system.
Survivors include his wife, Tammie Summers Pilgrim; sons, Clarence "Chad" W. Pilgrim, IV (Sara) and Julian "Kirk" Pilgrim (Camela); daughter, Christy Guy (David); brothers, Danny Pilgrim, Jim Pilgrim, Kenneth Pilgrim, and Ronnie Pilgrim; sisters Vianna Mathis, Anita Reese, Carolyn Powers, Marsha Smith, Angela Hammond, and Melinda Bedgood; grandchildren, Dawson Guy and Daelyn Guy and best friends Jim and Mag Williams.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m., Thursday, September 8 th at the Breezy Hill Baptist Church in Graniteville, SC.
Funeral services will be held at 11 o'clock a.m., Friday, September 9 th in the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Phillip Napier officiating. Interment will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens, Grovetown, GA. The family will also receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. Friday prior to the service at the funeral home.
It is the family's desire to express their sincere gratitude to the Staff of Augusta University Medical Center for the excellent care given to Mr. Pilgrim during his illness. Memorial contributions can be made to Breezy Hill Baptist Church, 662 Ascauga Lake Rd., Graniteville, SC 29829.
