Mary Christine "Christy" Ferguson, 67, of Norwood, GA entered into eternal rest on December 7, 2024. Christy was born in Washington, Georgia to the late Gus Hall and the late Doris Hyman Hall. She grew up in Thomson, GA and graduated in 1975 from Thomson High School and graduated from Augusta University with a BA in education. Christy taught special education for over 20 years with the McDuffie County Board of Education. She enjoyed reading, watching Andy Griffith, and spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Alex Ferguson, Jr.; son, Brad Ferguson (Anna) of Newnan, GA; brother, Jim Hall (Dianne) of Thomson, GA and grand dog, Willie Nelson.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Beggs Funeral Home, 799 Cobbham Road, Thomson, Georgia.  The Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel following the visitation with Rev. Al Wright officiating. Interment will follow in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens. The pallbearers will be: Eric Usry, John Stevenson, Marcus Ferguson, Russell Aycock, Cane Gilmer, Ricky McCord, Kevin Cowart, and Steve Henning.
