Christine Alma (Maxwell) Young

Christine Alma Maxwell Young, 88 of Beaver Dam Rd., Washington entered into eternal rest on August 7, 2025 at her residence. She was born on January 26, 1937,to the late John Rabun and Susie Kennedy Maxwell.

Christine grew up in Wilkes County where her younger years were filled with the joys of rural life, which laid the foundation for her lifelong love of the outdoors. She carried this love into her adult life, finding joy in her flower garden and going fishing.

Christine was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Young, and her children, Patricia Broome, Henry Broome, and Deborah Gayton. She is survived by her sons, Wade Broome of Florida and John Quarles of Grovetown, and her daughter, Pamela Turner of Lincolnton; sisters, Elizabeth Norman and Della Holstein; ten grandchildren, multiple great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, September 14, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Loco Baptist Church Cemetery.
