Cheryl Dawn (Peyton) Lamble

Ms. Cheryl Dawn Peyton Lamble, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2025, in Lincolnton, Georgia. Born on August 5, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois, Cheryl's life was a testament to her unwavering spirit and the love she had for her family and community. Cheryl was the beloved daughter of the late James H. Peyton and Gladys Bechtel Peyton. Her life was marked by her dedication to her family, which was her greatest pride and joy. She was predeceased by her son, Christopher James Lamble, whose memory she held close to her heart. Cheryl's legacy continues through her loving children, Mike Lamble (Anna), Samantha Marvel, and Jonathan Lamble (Joy), her sixteen grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored. She is also survived by a brother, James Howard Peyton, Jr. of Austin, Texas. After completing her education, Cheryl devoted 25 years of her life to serving others as a Certified Nursing Assistant at St. Francis Sisters of the Sacred Heart in Frankfort, Illinois. Her compassion and care left a lasting impact on the many lives she touched. Cheryl's colleagues and patients remember her for her kindness, her gentle touch, and her ability to bring comfort and solace to those in her care. Beyond her professional life, Cheryl had a passion for sewing, often creating beautiful children's clothes that were cherished by her family and friends. Her talent with needle and thread was only matched by her love for her grandchildren, whom she spent countless hours nurturing and guiding. Cheryl's home was a place of warmth and creativity, where laughter and the hum of her sewing machine were the soundtrack of many happy gatherings. As we bid farewell to Ms. Cheryl Dawn Peyton Lamble, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and generosity. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive in the stories shared by those who knew her and in the lives of her family who continue to walk in the light of her love. Cheryl's journey on this earth may have ended, but her spirit remains an indelible part of the tapestry of our lives. She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
