"Charlie" Otis Clark Beard

Mr. Otis Clark "Charlie" Beard, 71 of Hwy 220W, Lincolnton, Ga. passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2019 at his residence.

A viewing and time of remembrance with military honors will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at 3 pm at Beggs Funeral Home, Lincolnton.

Mr. Charlie, son of the late Lonnie E. and Maggie Clark Beard, was born on March 2, 1948 in Aiken, SC and served two tours with the US Marines in Vietnam. In the past, he had operated an auto paint and body repair business and more recently retired from Shaw Industries,Thomson after 28 years of service. His interests included travelling and he enjoyed his property in Lincoln County where he had resided for the past 34 years. Most of all, he loved his wife, children, and grandchildren. He had been a member of American Legion #194 and had attended Raysville Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy D. Beard; children, Diana Nadel of Boiling Springs, SC, Michelle Adams of Lincolnton, Brian Boucher of Greenville, SC, Chad Beard of Odessa, Fl., and Kevin Beard of Okeechobee, Fl; sisters, Mary Seale of Birmingham, Al. ,Thelma Watson of Ozark, Al., Sarah Baldwin of Ocala, Fl., Carol Blay of Cotopaxi, CO; 9 grandchildren, 1 great- grandchild; his loving dogs Ellie and Reggie; and soon to be born, grandchild, "Baby Charlie."
