Charles Jackson Smalley

Mr. Charles Jackson "Charlie" Smalley, 57 of Ocmulgee St., entered into rest on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at University Hospital, Augusta.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 1 p.m. at St Paul United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon until the hour of the service in the church fellowship hall.

Mr. Smalley, son of the late Charles A. and Evelyn Ferguson Smalley, was a lifelong resident of Lincoln County. He had served in the US Army National Guard , was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and recently retired from McCormick County as assistant public works director.

Survivors include his wife, Angie Tyler Smalley; daughter, Brooks Potts and husband, Tim; brother, Robert Smalley and wife, Cara; sisters, Cynthia Chambers and husband, Lamar, and Beth Beggs; 4 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
