Charles "Charlie" Wesley Candler, Jr. Bellsouth/AT&T Thomson, GA- Mr. Charles "Charlie" Wesley Candler, Jr. entered into rest August 12, 2012 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 14, 2012 from the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Barnes and Rev. Beverly Casstevens officiating. Interment will follow in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be: Johnny Lokey, Johnny Kitchens, Matt Ansley, Daniel Ansley, Mickey Johnson and Neal Foster. Mr. Candler was a lifelong resident of McDuffie County, Georgia and was the son of the late Charles Wesley Candler, Sr. and the late Florence Lokey Candler. He was retired from Bellsouth/AT&T with 38 years of service. Mr. Candler was a member of First United Methodist Church, Thomson. Survivors include his wife, Judy Ansley Candler; son, Charles "Chuck" Wesley Candler, III and wife, Candy; daughter, Jill Candler Russell and husband, Hal, and four grandchildren, Jacob Henry Russell, Jared Candler Russell, Sydney Kate Candler and Caiden Wesley Candler. Memorials may be made to the Georgia Sheriff's Youth Home, the American Cancer Society or to the American Heart Association. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Monday, August 13, 2012 at the funeral home. Beggs Funeral Home, Thomson, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
