Celeste Holmes Walden

Celeste Renee Holmes Walden, 64 of Mt Zion Church Rd. Lincolnton passed away peacefully on October 20, 2023 at her residence.

Celeste was born in Augusta, Ga on February 10, 1959. She attended Laney High School and graduated in 1978 and had lived in Lincoln County for the past 45 years. She was baptized and attended Faith Memorial Church in Evans in years past. She was a devoted wife to Charles E. Walden and their children: Stephanie Hogan (Frankie), Robin Walden and fiance Jacob Phillips, Steven Walden (Tiffany), and Christopher Walden. The joy of her life was her grandchildren, Devin Hogan, Daylen Hogan, and Kristina Phillips, whom she loved dearly. She also leaves to cherish her memory, her siblings, Richard Holmes and Deborah Davis and special nieces and nephews, Melissa Dawkins, Michael Smith, Jennifer Smith, Jeremy Walden, Niky Davis, Dale Davis, Trapper Davis, Jody, Scott and Missy Holsenback. Her family was her world, and she was the heart of her family. She had a passion for life that was evident in her diverse interests. Celeste loved anything her children or grandchildren were involved in. She was a fishing enthusiast and helped her husband clean deer. She was also a fan of dirt track racing. Celeste loved cooking for her family, her dishes were the highlight of family gatherings and will be fondly remembered. Celeste also believed in giving back to her community. Years ago, she helped with the Lincoln County Special Olympics. Her kind-hearted nature and willingness to lend a helping hand will always be remembered. Celeste Renee Holmes was a woman of kindness, whose warm heart and gentle spirit touched everyone she met.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 11am at Faith Community Church.
